· Have you or someone you know ever been bullied?
You will look at this social issue and discuss some of the causes and solutions to this problem.
TASK:

Based on your research using the “PPA” (Public Policy Analyst) model, you will:
· Create a PowerPoint presentation consisting of 12 to 15 slides.
· Give an oral presentation . The oral presentation will last a minimum of 10 minutes.
· Use the instructions previously outlined for PowerPoint presentations.
Here are the six steps of the (PPA) model which you will be using:
1. Define. Define bullying as a social problem. This should be your first slide. Use Worksheet1
2. Gather Evidence Provide evidence of the problem. Worksheet2
3. Identify causes. Give the causes of bullying citing some examples. You should use newspapers and other media reports on bullied victims. Use Worksheet3 to help you organize your next 2 to 3 slides.
4. Examine Existing Policy. Do research on some of the current policies on bullying. Use Worksheet4 to organize your writing.
5. Develop Solutions. Complete Worksheet5 in developing your solutions to the problem.
6. Select the Best Solution. Use Worksheet6 to select your best solution.

By completing this PPA Web quest, you have now learned how to identify bullying behavior and know strategies for how to prevent it. As a Public Policy Analyst, you have identified the causes of the problem, provided evidence, and researched the current policies. As a result of this project, you have learned to create some policy changing decisions.
