The U.S. v. American Library Association Decision:
The Court ruled 6-3 in favor of the U.S. Government and upheld CIPA. The Court ruled that the government is allowed to place requirements for the securing of public funds as long as nothing unconstitutional results. The fact that filters can and will be turned off when requested (promptly and without need for an explanation) by non-minor patrons, allows these patrons full access to the Internet.
