Introduction:

Meet Christina and Joe.  This is their Monday morning conversation:

What did you do this weekend?

Nothing.

What are you doing this next weekend?

No plans.  We could always hang out on the stoop.

Didn’t the cops already tell us we couldn’t do that?

Well, I don’t care what they say.  It’s my stoop.  And, what else are going to do anyway?

Many teenagers find that they have “nothing to do.”  This may lead them to finding unhealthy and/or dangerous things to do.

Task:

Your task is to come up with a list of productive, healthy, and fun things to do in your spare time.   Do some research on the internet of activities, and write a week-long plan of things to do over spring break.

Process:

Summarize your research on the following six PPA worksheets

a.  Define the Problem              worksheet #1

b. Gather evidence                   worksheet # 2

c.  Identify causes                      worksheet #3

d. Evaluate existing policy       worksheet #4

e.  Develop Solution                  worksheet #5

f.    Choose the best solution      worksheet #6
