INTRODUCTION
You are a family physician working
in a large clinic in the

one other doctor in your clinic decide to devote 100% of your time to fighting
the spread of AIDS. You want to open
your own clinic dedicated to the treatment and prevention of AIDS and HIV.
YOUR TASK
You can’t afford the cost of
opening the clinic on your own, so you’re going to need a grant from the city
to pay the $2 million startup cost. In
order to win the grant, you and your partner must prove to the Mayor that AIDS

Step 3: Propose a solution
You need to convince the government that your proposed
clinic will help fight the spread of AIDS and HIV. How will your clinic do this? What form will your education and/or testing
take?
Your proposal will have to be presented to the Mayor of New
York and the Director of the New York City Department of Health and Mental
Hygiene. Make a PowerPoint presentation
to bring to your meeting to help you make your case.
