Drug
abuse has been a continuing problem in the United States for decades. Almost every family has been affected by the
problems of crime, ruined lives and illness along with the staggering economic
costs of this dilemma.
You
have been asked by the President’s Special Task Force on Drug Abuse to be part
of their Drug Policy Overhaul committee.

Task:
1. You will create a 10 slide
PowerPoint presentation composed of slides that follow the Public Policy
Analysis developed by the Maxwell School at Syracuse University.
2. The Power Point presentation consisting of:
a. 10 or more slides
b. You must include some
graphics
c. You may include sounds
and/or music
d. You must follow the Public
Policy Analysis
3. You must have a short narration to accompany the presentation of approximately 1 minute per slide.

Conclusion:
When
you have completed this activity, you will have a greater understanding of the
problem of drug abuse in America, and the difficulties of establishing a
successful means to eradicate it. You
will have demonstrated your ability to use the Internet to research topics
relevant to you and society. You will
have used critical thinking skills to make decisions on what policies would be
most effective.
