GLOBAL WARMING
Introduction
You have just won the lotto!!! One
million dollars can be yours if you can help New State solve one more problem.
Global Warming. Since the money you've
won can be used as state education funds, the state needs to determine whether to use the money you've won to further your education or to award the money
directly to you. You need to examine many Websites to clarify for the state
whether Carbon dioxide emissions in our state contribute to Global warming.
Keep in mind that your approach to solving this problem may help determine
state policy and PPA for training teachers of TIPS.
Task
You will create and present a three
page written report on the effects of carbon dioxide emissions on Global
warming in New York State. For this project you will have to present the Six
Step Public Policy Approach.
1. Define and describe the problem (Social
Conditions,Players,Public Policy)
2.Gather evidence for this problem
3. Identify causes for this problem
4.Describe and evaluate the existing
policy for this problem
5. Develop solution /policies
for the problems for the existing policies
6. Select the best policy
for the problem

Evaluation
You will be judged on your project
in the 3-page typed report.

Your three page typed report must be based on the 6 step
public policy analyst format
2.
You may include graphics in addition to the typed 3 pages
3.
You must use paragraphs and follow the conventions of
standard written English
4.
A cover sheet with your name, class, date, and title of
your report is necessary
Conclusion
Students will make a self assessment to
determine the effectiveness
of
the TIPS program. A comparative analysis of TIPS students with a control
group
can also be made.
