Miranda v. Arizona: Decision

 

The Supreme Court ruled in favor of Miranda. The Court ruled that prosecutors were constitutionally forbidden to use incriminating statements obtained from suspects during interrogation unless strict procedural safeguards had been followed to guarantee that the individual was aware of his constitutional rights to remain silent and to have the aid of an attorney.
