Have you ever watched the TV show Family Feud? The contestants are two families. This game show uses surveys. Surveys are questionnaires. Prior Family Feud audiences answer surveys. Survey questions might involve sports, music, history or just about any topic. Each family tries to guess the most popular answers given by the audience of about 100 people.

Surveys can also be used in PPA. There are two types of survey questions: factual and attitudinal(feelings). Suppose many students in your school have poor grades. You decide to study this social problem. You could survey students, teachers and administrators about the problem. Surveys can be used at several steps in PPA.
