Africa
1. Propose at least three new/original public
policy alternatives. Be sure that all of
your public policy alternatives are at the same geopolitical level as your
social problem. Each alternative must
specify the actual government or government agency that will carry out the
proposed action. List the proposal that
your group considers the most promising first.
All three policies are resolutions of the
Security Council:
1.
Requests the Secretary General to establish a
commission of educators and medical experts to develop a comprehensive training
program to administer to all UN peacekeeping forces.
2.
Requests
the Secretary General to establish a trust fund through which Member States
would be encouraged to contribute to develop additional HIV/AIDS treatment
clinics throughout Sub-Saharan Africa.
3.
Requests Member States to dispatch doctors and
medical personnel to Sub-Saharan countries to assist in HIV/AIDS treatment
clinics.
