Introduction:
Every year over 1.2 million students drop out of high school in the United States. That’s a student every 26 second- or 7,000 a day. It is reported that only 7 of 10 ninth graders today will get a high school diploma.
How many of your classmates will you see at graduation? Will you be at Gradation? Why do students drop out of school? What are the effects of not completing high school? What can be done to prevent students from dropping out?
You are a congress representative for the state of New York. You want to create a law that will help increase the graduation rates in your state. You will research high dropout rates – their effects and states with high graduation rates – their techniques/strategies/ policies.
Task:
Create a research based power point presentation of a least 10 slides.
