Research shows that our website shopping patterns are tracked by several companies who then sell this information to marketers for profit. In addition to that, smart phones are becoming more and more like computers, making them vulnerable to viruses and spyware…
Task:
Using Word (minimum of 3 pages) or PowerPoint (minimum of 15 slides), you are tasked with researching a recent security breach within a topic that most interests you. These topics include cell phone security, website security, wireless security, network security, identity theft, data mining (the selling of our information) or any other topic relating to security. Be sure to include any diagrams or illustration showcasing the statistics for your chosen topic!
The process: (Your instructor will assign you in a group of 3 members)
Be sure to clearly state each the following:
ü Which topic you chose and why
ü Explain the security concerns of your chosen topic
ü Clearly detail which type of technology is helping prevent these security breaches
ü How can ordinary people protect themselves from being victims
ü Indicate any used resources during your research (Cite them!)
ü As you complete the steps above, be sure to structure your work using the 6 steps of the PPA!

Conclusion:
The purpose of this project is to get you acclimated (familiarized) with how security is implemented throughout different industries, growing pains due to security breaches and concerns, and types of jobs available for this type of work.
ALL PROJECT SUBMISSION MUST BE TYPED! Hand written work will not be accepted.
