Introduction

Discrimination means the unjust or prejudicial treatment of different categories of people or things, especially on the grounds of race, age, or sex. In other words, discrimination means treating people differently, negatively or adversely without any reasonable justification. For example,

 

Discrimination against children around the world still exists, and it is serious a problem.

 

 

Task

Your group will study the problems of discrimination found against children. Using the Public Policy Analyst you will develop specific suggestions for policies that might better deal with this problem. Your report may well bring about changes that can really improve life for children in America and all over the world.

Your group will:

Complete the Public Policy Analyst Worksheets (to be explained in Process)

Create a campaign to prevent discrimination against children.

You can create this campaign by creating a poster and an essay. 

 

 

PROCESS

Your campaign must include:

1.  A title

2.  Your research (you must show evidence of your research)

3.  A new policy that you group has created to help and prevent discrimination against children.

4.  A 5 minute presentation of your group’s findings and a poster based on your PPA Worksheets

Conclusion:

Step 5: Each group will prepare a five minute oral presentation describing the new public policies (step # 5 in the PPA) accompanied by a poster. In your presentation, which includes the poster, your group should outline the problem, present data to support the evidence of the problem, and detail your effective policy.
