Unhealthy Eating Habits

Introduction:

“You are what you eat!” Thus, your eating habits affect your whole being. As you all know, obesity is a major problem not only in our school community but in our nation as well.  Our food choices matter! How can you avoid unhealthy eating habits? The answer might not be easy, but with the help of our P.S.197M healthy foods team, eating healthy is a possibility.

Task:

As a member of our kindergarten healthy foods team, you are chosen to expose unhealthy eating habits in our school and come up with five ways to eat healthier. First, your group needs to identify five unhealthy eating problems and five possible solutions. Next, you will present your findings by creating a poster that will be used during our healthy eating kick-off rally.

Process/Resources:

Each group will identify five unhealthy eating habits and five solutions. After completing the worksheet, your group will work on the poster. You may use pictures or drawings to explain the information your group gathered. Be creative! Use colored markers and eye-popping graphics to make your poster attractive.
