INTRODUCTION

The United States has the highest teenage pregnancy rate in all developed countries. 3 out of 10 teen girls in the US will get pregnant at least once before age 20. That's about 1 billion teen pregnancies each year. It’s hard to raise a child when you are a child. You are a teen pregnancy prevention advocate and you have been asked to develop policies to help students become aware of the problems caused by teen pregnancy and help prevent the increase of teen pregnancy.

TASK                             :images-2.jpeg

You will develop a 3-5 page paper discussing the problems caused by teen pregnancy and a power point presentation with at least 7 slides outlining the Public Policy Analysis.

PROCESS                    :images-3.jpeg

You will be assigned into groups of four. Each group will research this topic using the internet to develop an oral presentation including a PowerPoint presentation of at least 7 slides. Each student will be assigned a specific task.  One student will do the research, one will make the PowerPoint slides, and one student will make the oral presentation.  Be sure to use the six- step PPA process below:

1.      Define the Problem                 (Worksheet#1)

2.      Gather the Evidence                (Worksheet #2)

3.      Identify the Causes                  (Worksheet #3)

4.      Evaluate an Existing Policy     (Worksheet #4)

5.      Develop Solutions                   (Worksheet #5)
