REUSE! Tiffany Selling PS 100 - Class K1 |
|
INTRODUCTION:
In K1 we noticed that there is so much trash, especially water bottles, every day in our classroom- THAT IS A PROBLEM!!! The janitor asked us how we could help him REUSE what we think is trash rather than send it to a recycling center or landfill.
TASK:
In this WebQuest, using the Public Policy Analyst (PPA) you will be solving the problem of how students can turn “trash” into “treasure”, which could be artwork or something useful in your life. We want to see things through new eyes which could be a key to a greener future. In this activity you will create garden activities, art projects or a school supply item to showcase opportunities to reuse “trash.” You will watch videos and read books with your group members. Each group will have 5 members. This WebQuest should take 8 class periods. During the last class period your group will present your creation that describes how you turned trash into something useful! You will have a rubric to refer to.
PROCESS:
EVALUATION: Click on the pictures below to see each rubric for this WebQuest.
CONCLUSION: Congratulations to all group members for helping our class reuse instead or creating more trash! In this WebQuest you learned different ways to turn trash into art or something usable in school or at home. Now you need to share the information that you learned with your family and other classes in our school.
