INTRODUCTION

In NYC public schools, we are lucky to have an abundance of food provided to students for breakfast and lunch.  The problem that we encounter, though, is that there is an excess in food waste in the cafeteria.

We are counting on you to help P.S. 56Q by studying the problem of food waste within our school and ways that we can try to solve the problem.

TASK

1.   At the end of this WebQuest your group will track how much food is thrown away in the cafeteria and what is done with that waste.

2.   You will explore survey data to find out what foods students are throwing away and why.

3.   You will create a chart to show trends within the data.

4.   You will create a Google Slide to share findings and propose solutions.
