INTRODUCTION:

Have you ever had someone repeatedly make you feel terrible? Whether it was emotionally, mentally, or physically? This is unfortunately common in middle school and it needs to be stopped. Bullying is unwanted, aggressive behavior among school aged children that involves a real or perceived power imbalance. The behavior is repeated, or has the potential to be repeated, over time. Both kids who are bullied and who bully others may have serious long lasting issues This is where you come in: To make Seth Low a Bully-Free Zone.

 

TASK

Using what we learned previously from the Public Policy Analyst Slides, we will research and problem solve how we can make Seth Low a Bully Free Zone.

You will:

            Implement a survey and gather data about Bullying in Seth Low.

            Research a variety of resources about Bullying.

            Follow the Public Service Analyst steps in order to create solutions to bullying in Seth Low.

            Create slides following the Public Service Analyst Steps with a partner.

            You are your partner and will present your research to the class.

 

PROCESS/RESOURCES

            Day 1:

        Implement a survey and gather data about bullying in Seth Low.

        Research a variety of resources about Bullying and take notes.

            Days 2 and 3: Follow the Public Service Analyst steps in order to create solutions to bullying. Create slides following the Public Service Analyst Steps with a partner. You must have at least 10 slides.

            Day 4: You are your partner and will have 5 minutes to present your research to the class.

CONCLUSION

 Congratulations on a job well done for being Public Service Analysts! We are now one step closer to making Seth Low a Bully- Free Zone. Now it is your job to take what you learned from the PPA steps and research and all of your peers’ presentations to put it all into action.
