Teacher Page
Introduction: This web quest is designed to test 7th grade student’s knowledge of percentages, sales tax and discounts. Students will be shopping online at various stores and looking for things they may want to purchase. Students will need to calculate the discount and well as sales tax. Students will also be expected to take into account the shipping costs. I created this web quest to be used at the end of the unit. It can be modified to be completed as an independent or group project. This activity is a great way to assess student’s knowledge of the subject matter.

o Next, students will go to the task, which explains the purpose of the lesson and lays out the guidelines.
o After, students will go to the process. The process breaks their task into 7 coherent steps that students will follow to complete their task.
o Then, students will go to the Evaluation, where they can see the rubric on how they will be assessed.
o Finally, students will visit the conclusion, which sums up the lesson. Students will also complete a Google form, which will assess their knowledge of their completed task and provide the teacher with feedback for the lesson. I have provided for you a Google form I use with my class. You can modify it to fit your needs.
