Introduction:
Isn’t it exciting to read the newspaper
headlines?
“Gulf Dead Zone

These headlines were found in 2.3 seconds
on the internet with about 5 gazillion trillion others. Human activity can have a detrimental effect

Everyone should help each other out; it
will definitely be irritating to me (the supreme ruler) if someone just sits
back and does not practice good PBIS behavior and help other people with their
jobs.
EVERYONE will work on the poster.
o
At
the end of this webquest/project, you will anonymously grade your peers on
their participation in this group project.
§
In
order to effectively evaluate this issue, we will be using the PPA process. PPA
stands for Public Policy Analyst. Each team will use the worksheets provided to
work through each of the steps of the PPA.
Links to each worksheet are provided below the links to the steps. You will use the websites under resources to
help you complete the six worksheets.
§
The
following are the steps used in PPA
o
1.
Define the Problem
o
2.
Gather the
Evidence
o
3.
Identify the
Causes
o
4.
Evaluate an
Existing Policy
o
5.
Develop
Solutions
o
6.
Select the Best
Solutions (Feasibility vs. Effectiveness)
This
is exactly what your team should be turning into me at the end of this PPA
webquest:
1.
The
six completed worksheets for each step of the PPA.
2. A poster (rubric will be provided) which must visual demonstrate your PPA investigation.
