INTRODUCTION

You were in line to get your lunch in the cafeteria.  You were already waiting for quite a while now because there were several classes ahead of you. It is almost your turn to get your plate when suddenly… another student skips you and just decides to get her food ahead of you. You were so angry!  You decide to talk to your teacher and complain about it.  Your teacher encouraged you and your classmates to list down behaviors that are very disrespectful in school and at home.  Your teacher also encouraged you and your group to come up with a list of behaviors that are considered respectful and acceptable in an organized society.

TASK-

At the end of this research and discussion, students will be able to come up with a list of behaviors that are considered disrespectful at home and in the school.  Students will also list down the more acceptable behaviors in school and at home.  Students will present these in a PowerPoint and in an Oral Presentation in the classroom.

CONCLUSION

This Web Quest was done to identify the common problems in manners in school and at home.  Groups of students were also instructed to list down the proper manners that would correct those certain problems.  These results were presented as a group to the class in PowerPoint presentations.

Here are a few questions that you can think about after you have done your PowerPoint and Oral Presentation:

·        What are some other behaviors you think are considered “bad manners” in school and at home?

·        Do research on what is the proper behavior in situations at home and in school by reading and interviewing other people.

·        What do you think are the negative responses to these “bad manners?”

·        What do you think are the positive responses to the good manners you will show in public?

·        What are you going to do to imbibe these good manners and reject the bad manners?
