qualities that are essential to being a good American history teacher. Select someone you do not know, introduce yourself,
compare lists, and form a consensus of five most essential. Then, several
lists will be briefly discussed in terms of how Project HISTORY can help
improve those qualities in our participants. |

Using the tentative agenda for Project
HISTORY, participants meet in small groups to develop their own Ideas and
suggestions on planning the upcoming 30-months (e.g., the five release days,
late afternoons and/or Saturday mornings, topics and strategies deserving
more emphasis, volunteers for the Steering Committee) |
