Introduction:

 Teenagers face diabetes, heart problems and unpopularity due poor eating habits and lack of exercise. Forty percent of NYC students are obese.  School lunches filled with fats, carbohydrates and sugars, McDonald’s, fast foods and unhealthy snacks of chips and soda are contributor of this epidemic.  As a member of the task you will be educating students in your school in ways of preventing childhood obesity.  You will present your needs to he principal, the PTA and to the school staff in order to enable you to create a club in your school to promote health eating habits and exercise program.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Task:  You are a member of a task force to implement policy in preventing childhood obesity in the USA with the starting point being your schools. Your mission should you decide to accept it is to create a Power Point Presentation aim to reduce childhood obesity in your school.

Conclusion:

You should have learned from this webquest that childhood obesity can be seen as a major social problem at Choir Academy of Harlem. You have seen the gravity of the problem for all concerned.  You also have learned the role of the Public Policy Analyst. Let’s hope your investigation and suggestions will lead to a policy that will make a difference.
