The Feiner v. New York Decision:
The U.S. Supreme Court ruled, 6-3, in favor of New York and that Feiner was guilty of disorderly conduct. The majority reasoned that Feiner's actions created the danger of a riot or disturbance occurring. The minority believed that the police had a clear obligation to protect Feiner's right to speak.
