Webster v. Reproductive Health Services: Arguments

Argument #1

The Court should side with Webster (the government) in this case. The law does not try to restrict abortions, but it is aimed at preventing government (and therefore the taxpayer) from funding an action which many citizens find morally reprehensible.

Argument #2

The Court should decide in favor of the Reproductive Health Services. By not allowing government funding for abortions, this severely restricts the ability of poorer women from exercising their right to choose whether to get an abortion.
