Roe v. Wade: Arguments

Argument #1

The Court should rule in favor of Roe. The Court has found a right to privacy in the Constitution. And the Fourteenth Amendment was broad enough to encompass a woman's decision whether or not to terminate her pregnancy.

Argument #2

The Court should rule for the state (Wade). There is no constitutional right to an abortion. The State has an interest in preventing abortions in order to protect the well being of the unborn.
