Florida v. Riley: Facts

A county sheriff received a tip that the accused was growing marijuana in his backyard. Unable to see inside the greenhouse behind the accused's mobile home, the sheriff while circling over the accused's property saw marijuana growing inside the greenhouse. A warrant was obtained and marijuana was found in the greenhouse. The accused tried to have the evidence suppressed since he had a reasonable expectation that his activities within the greenhouse would remain private, The Florida Supreme Court agreed.
