Plyler v. Doe: Decision

In a 5-4 vote, the US Supreme Court ruled that aliens are recognized as persons and guaranteed due process by the Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments. "He is subject to the full range of obligations imposed by the State's civil and criminal laws...(And) is entitled to the equal protection of the laws that a State may choose to establish."
