International Union v. Johnson Controls: Arguments

Argument #1

The Court should rule in favor of Johnson (the Company) in this case. The company is worried about the health of the fetuses of pregnant women therefore they have restricted their female employees from access to some jobs where a health risk may be present.

Argument #2

The Court should rule with the women (International Union) in this case. It is illegal to exclude women from a certain kind of work simply because they are women. If the company explains the risks to a woman, it should be her choice on whether or not to work there.
